revelations: romance blossoms between them while they share the conflict against valla. it starts as a tender spark when they share the loss of ryouma's romantic interest, scarlet. leo and ryouma grow closer over time, and originally leo was set on being his brother's right hand man forever, and especially after they learn that his father hasn't been himself since leo was very young. ryouma eventually propositions leo to work as an advisor and nohrian diplomat, in collaboration with takumi to help reparations, once everything is over. leo does one better, and asks ryouma to marry him. ryouma laughs, and accepts. leo becomes hoshido's king consort, and still does visit nohr.

leo is very into taking in any hole. ryouma is more than happy to provide. leo occasionally does use his strap for ryouma, but the hoshido king prefers to penetrate. leo has a breeding kink, and feels especially sexy while he's pregnant with their kids, enjoying how his body changes and fills out. ryouma loves eating leo out, worshipping leo. leo spent a lot of time doing riding other than on his horse while they travelled through the invisible kingdom, and ryouma happily watched leo please himself.

oh, how much i love these two! one of my favourite 'canon' ships for leo & char. charlotte has a spunk to her that has them bantering. it does help that leo helps charlotte with sending money back to her family to support them - the entire reason they met is because she joined the nohrian army to earn money to send to her family, other than becoming some noble's 'ditsy' wife.

leo learns that charlotte is actually very strong & capable of looking after herself on the battlefield and off. she does continue to hide that she's strong off the battlefield during the war, at least until leo surprises her with a proposal. he has come to love her for herself - and it's clear that they show more and more of the equal partner banter.

however, when he proposes, charlotte is shocked, and worries if she loves leo for him being a prince, or for himself - and the fact she worries confirms his suspicions. after all, once the war is won, however bittersweet it may be, he does make assist his brother in helping nohrian citizens recover, and starts with his in-laws. charlotte's emotions for him do not change after leo helps her family get more stability.

charleo is def a ship where i love them as two cis characters, or two trans characters, or one is trans. though, i do prefer leo & charlotte being trans spectrum. leo being a trans man, and charlotte being nonbinary. charlotte's egg doesn't crack until after the war that she's nonbinary, as her gender has always felt performative for cis men to fall for. forrest is their magic baby, and they have them after the war.

the next space is hidden. tokophobia cw, as well as a potential dysphoria trigger with regards to pregnancy as a trans man. highlight to read.

when they discuss how to move forward with their family - as leo is expected to have a child as a prince - charlotte becomes unsure if she wants to be pregnant. leo reassures her that she doesn't have to carry the child if she doesn't want to. it eases charlotte's worries, as she has been doing a lot of work to pick apart her gender after the war, becoming more comfortable for herself. it also ends up being easier for leo to use the spell on himself to become pregnant. he's also always wondered what it would like to be pregnant, and though it is uncomfortable for him because. well, pregnancy, he's actually very proud of their child.
of course, sometimes, forrest is their child without the use of magic, the more traditional way.
